After I told myself I was going to do for over a year now, I finally took the time and practiced until I could make my first board. I had forgotten what it's like to be an exercise you have never been able to do before - and I'll tell you is wonderful.
What makes the muscle so pleased to learn is that most people can not do it. It's the same idea behind getting really good at the butterfly stroke for those of you who are swimming. This is not really necessary for a good workout ... but you look sweet to. Hey, there's nothing wrong with a little show here and there.
What is a Muscle Up?
A muscle is in place when you do a normal pull up, then continue up by pulling the arms down into a trough like motion. In the end, you are directly on top of the bar when your arms down. Here is a video showing how to do it:
Work your way to your first Muscle-Up ...
You probably will not be able to watch a video, then go out and do a muscle up perfect. If you're able to - well, that's impressive. But for the rest of us - you have to work your way up. Both strength and technique are involved, and you need both to exercise.
Construction Force:
the strength of construction is fairly simple. You'll want to focus on pull-ups, dips, and a few leg lifts for lower abs (not necessary but helpful). Once you can do all these exercises for over 10 repetitions of each, you are strong enough and just need to work on technique.
Technique:
That's how I learned to do.
Part 1:
The first time, start with a normal pull-up (you can run your legs good). Then literally climb to the next game. Put one of your elbows on the bar, you push on the bar and then get your other arm there. Then you push yourself and take a dip getting your full arm pushing down.
It may be ugly and it may hurt a bit - but you have made your first muscle-up! It only gets easier after that.
Part 2:
Start with a normal pull up, kick your legs for momentum, trying to get a little swing go. While in the swing, kick and get to the top of the bar, bend an elbow and quickly push you over the bar. Now bring your arms up to others, and do the dip. You start to look good now, and it is time to reach the final stage.
Part 3:
Swing back and forth on the bar, kick your legs to swing the momentum mi, arrive at the end of the bar and bend your elbows, you push the bar down and finish your first muscle-up admirably. Good work! Want To Know The Fastest Way For
